概要
The book was compiled by Japanese mythologist Toshio Takagi, 1876 ~ 1922. Takagi collected and classified the legends at the request of Tokyo Asahi Shimbun. This book describes legends that were handed down throughout Japan at the beginning of the 20 century, and provides a history of how legends were understood and classified in the study of legends in early Japan.
