The story shines in the quiet times

The concept is interesting and I am curious about where the main story is going. However, there is another aspect that draws my attention more.
I think the author has a true talent for showing human interactions and complex relationships. Even though there are few characters and the story is only told from one perspective, the author is able to strongly convey the thoughts and emotions of everyone involved. It makes the characters feel like real people, which is very hard to do.
