You guys seem like natives from Japan. You are correct. The election is stupid.
Let me break it down.
Basically, As an american citizen, you have three options:
1. Vote red 2. Vote blue 3. dont vote.
Red and blue hate each other, and tell people that the other party will ruin America.
Basically, America is a giant machine, almost every politician is being paid by corporations to act in their best interest.
It is an endless cycle of, you cant purge the corruption without passing a law, you cant pass a law without the politicans approving it.
The politicians wont approve of it:
Notice how the two parties can't come up with an agreement on say, the economy, abortion, ect. They CAN, but if they do. Then they will lose all funding.
The parties entire support comes from being against one another.
Basically, we haven't had a president that actually cared in a long time.
An they never will, not as long as there's money involved.
For me, “not voting” has never been an option. So if I were a U.S. citizen, I’d definitely feel I had only two real choices.
I completely understand and agree with what you’re saying about the corruption within both major parties—it’s a problem we face here in Japan as well (and likely in many other democracies). It’s a weakness of the system, no doubt. But let me make it clear. It still comes down to choosing a leader. And honestly, do you think he would truly stand for the working-class people in Rust Belt states or for the Christian community? ABSOLUTELY NOT! He has never—and will never—work to raise workers’ wages, and as for Christianity, his actions are consistently disrespectful toward the teachings of Jesus Christ. Of course, God may love him no matter what, but I cannot and never will support him as the President of the United States.
Kamala might not be perfect, but she was the better option. And then there's Tim Walz! They are dedicated leaders, patriots, and devoted family people. If only I had voting rights in Pennsylvania…
