Deliciously slow-paced plot

First, thank youuuuuuuu the author for producing such a heart-wrenching novel!
I felt such sensation from all the depictions of emotions that I’m currently re-reading it for the second time… Even though I can’t read in the original text and have to use google translate, this novel is definitely one of my favorites.

There are many things that I like about this novel.
First the characters. Miyagi & Sendai have obviously contrasting differences (social/anti-social, straightforward/difficult), and M&S often cannot guess the true feelings of the other because they’re blindfolded by love (which makes us readers really anxious). But it seems to me that these difference are more superficial and deep inside M&S might even be the same kind of people: insecure, sensitive, doubting rather than believing happiness, wondering if they truly deserve happiness. It’s really no surprise that they understand each other instinctively even without much words (especially in the early episodes when Miyagi does her talking only by the ¥ lol), just like animals identifying each other just by the scents. In a sense, their love is predestined.

Then, I especially appreciate the pace of the plots. Although I can’t imagine myself being in this kind of extended forever-lasting tug-of-war, I think it suits M&S very well. M&S aren’t static characters: Through this relationship they gradually find out where their hearts are at, become braver and more expressive; at the end of the journey, they become different, and perhaps better people than the simple, young high school students in uniform as they were in that room of Miyagi’s. In a word, you can really see the characters grow through love in this novel.

Apologize for typing this much words, but I intend only to show my affection for the novel and the author. Thank you again!
