第25話 Animal testing should be banned immediatedly?
Whether or not animal testing is necessary has been hot topic for several decades.
While some argue that it is impossible to ban it immediatedly because new medicine will require the animal testing for its efficacy and safety, but I provide three reasons for nececity of its immediate bannning of animal testing.
Firstly, animals used for experiment such as mouse, rat, rabbit and so on have a sense of fear and pain. They suffer from torture when they are put in a cage or executed, which is immoral and no excuse for supporting it.
Secondly, it is unreliable. there is a difference between animal physical state and human being. Even if any medicine passed on the animal testing, it is no guarantee for the safety for applying to the human which may suffer from it.
Lastly, it is unnecessary. Currently, there have been more humanway of alternative testing method like computer simulation, cell culture and so on which do not have to make them feel pain and fear. It is waste of time, money and resource.
In conclusion, animal testing is not necessary, not reliable and being against morality. As society, we should pursue more human alternative testing method by investing money into new science technology.
