Must be some kind of trick by those bad guys and she was with them yesterday. Sadly Koji is quite naive and his focus is on animals rather then people so is being tricked. I hope one of his friends appears to tell him whats going on.
The other possibility is for Kannagi to appear who talked to him during the festival, maybe she could set him straight and that he's been manipulated and maybe even make them closer.
