第21話 社長を乗せた！！

私は転職活動をしているし、お客さんが乗っていない空車の時間を利用して

英検１級と貿易実務検定Ａ級の勉強をしているので、私にとって売り上げはもはや、どうでもいい。

今は最低賃金さえ貰えればよいという考えで仕事をしているので、１日の売り上げ目標もない。

ただし、今日はあまりにも暇だった。

別にさぼっているわけでもない。１日の休憩時間９０分は守っているし、それ以外の時間は、ちゃんと待機場所でお客さんを待っている。

ただお客さんからの配車依頼がないだけなのだ。

夕方１６時過ぎで１１０００円の売り上げ。さすがに低いと思っていた時、配車の依頼が来た。

配車指示の画面に、お客様「社長」と書いてある。

「まずい！」と思った。

というより、営収がこのところ低い私を指名して、タクシーの車内で

お説教が始まるのではないかと思った。

恐る恐る、社長がお待ちになっている営業所に戻った。

専務もいた。

全ての接客サービスが見られているので、緊張した。

車をきっちり、二人の目の前に止め、慌てて車外に出て後部座席のドアを自ら開けて

「どうぞ、頭をぶつけないようにお気を付けください」と言ってドアサービスをした。

行き先は定番の駅だったから、ナビを使わずに済んだ。

問題はこの後の会話だ。

よりによって、こんな売り上げの悪い日に。

「今日の調子はどう？営収はどのくらいいった？」と聞かれて

「１１、０００円です」と答えたら、

「ふざけてるのか」と言われるだろう。

しかし、私の心配は全く皆無だった。

駅に着くまで終始無言。

社長だから、チップをくれるかなと期待したが、それもなく、

普通に降りて消えていった。

It's not like I'm slacking off. I keep a 90-minute break each day, and at other times I wait for customers in the waiting area.

It's just that there are no requests for rides from customers.

Sales amounted to 11,000 yen after 4pm. Just when I thought it was very low,

I received a request for a ride.

The customer name "President'' was written on the dispatch instruction screen.

“This is bad!” I thought.

Rather, I thought he appointed me, whose income has been low lately,

I thought the sermon was about to begin.

I timidly returned to the office where the president was waiting.

There was also a managing director.

I was nervous because all the customer service was being watched.

I stopped the car exactly in front of them, got out of the car in a hurry, and opened the back seat door myself.

"Please be careful not to hit your head,'' I said as I served the door.

Since their destination was a standard station, I didn't have to use the navigation system.

The problem is the conversation that follows.

Especially on such a bad day of sales.

When asked, "How are you doing today? How much did you earn today?"

When I answered, "It's 11,000 yen,"

They will say, "Are you kidding?"

However, I had no worries at all.

We were silent the entire time until we arrived at the station.

Since he's the president, I was hoping he would give me a tip, but he didn't.
