朝、点呼が終わり、係長から「はいこれ。１日早いけど」と渡されたのは

給与明細。

いつも通り、総支給額２２万５０００円。税金が控除され、手取り額は１８万４０００円。

今月は、有給を１日消化して有給手当が７６００円支給されているから、もし有給を使っていなかったら、１７万円台になる。

これが東京郊外の貧乏日勤ドライバーの現実だ。

４４歳、妻と二人の小学生を抱える世帯主の給料。

支給額を細かく見ると、まず基本給が１７万円。家族手当が３０００円（二人分）。

皆勤手当てが３０００円。残業手当が２９,５００円。そして今月から勤続給が５００円ついた。１年経過ごとに５００円ずつ上がるらしい。

そして、タクシードライバーにとって収入を左右する歩合給は、今月は５６００円だった。

私の今月の営収（お客さんから頂くメーター料金から税金を抜いた総売り上げの事）は約４３０,０００円。

歩合給をもらえるかのボーダーライン（業界用語で足切りと言う）が、

４１６,０００円。これを超える金額の約４０％が歩合給としてもらえる金額だ。

タクシードライバーの１日の拘束時間は長く、９時間４５分が規定されている。

これは単純に運転時間プラス休憩時間。実際は、これにプラスして朝の車の移動、車の点検、点呼で３０分使う。営業を終了してからの洗車は雨の日だと１時間。納金や日報の事務処理が３０分かかる。

給料に調整手当という項目がある。私みたいに営収が悪いドライバーはこのままだと労働基準法の最低賃金に届かないらしく、調整手当という項目でその分を埋めているとの事。私の今月の場合だと、５,４００円支給されていた。

２月の給料の際は、営収（売り上げ）が高かった。約４９万円。だから最低賃金は歩合給でクリアできたので、調整手当が支給されなかった。

そして手取りは１９万５０００円だった。

私は、この会社に入って１年４か月だが、手取りが２０万円を超えた事は一度もない。

私の会社では、１日欠勤をすると約７５００円引かれる。私は有給を使い果たしている。１日も休めない。

健康には人一倍気を付けているつもりだ。（ほんとか～？毎日、から揚げ棒のお昼ごはんなのに・・）

先輩のシングルマザーの女性は、先月、子供のインフルエンザが家族内で蔓延して月の半分くらいしか出勤できなかった。

先月の彼女の給与明細を想像すると怖い。

ちなみに、冒頭の係長、１日早く給与明細を渡した事を経理部長から怒られていた。

My pay slip

In the morning, after roll call, the section chief handed it to me and said,

"Okay, this is it. Although it's a day early."

It was a payslip.

As usual, the total amount paid was 225,000 yen. After tax was deducted,

the take-home pay was 184,000 yen.

This month, I used up my paid allowance for one day and was paid 7,600 yen in paid allowance, so if I didn't use my paid allowance, it would be in the 170,000 yen range.

This is the reality of poor day shift drivers in the suburbs of Tokyo.

The salary of a 44-year-old, head of a household with wife and two elementary school students.

Looking at the amount paid in detail, first of all, the basic salary is 170,000 yen. Family allowance is 3,000 yen (for two sons).

Perfect attendance allowance is 3000 yen. Overtime pay is 29,500 yen.

Starting this month, I received 500 yen as a siniority salary. It seems that the price increases by 500 yen every year.

The commission pay, which determines the income of taxi drivers, was 5,600 yen this month.

My sales revenue this month (total sales after subtracting tax from the meter charges received from customers) is approximately 430,000 yen.

There is a borderline (in industry terminology, it is called "cut off'') as to whether or not you can receive commission pay), 416,000 yen.

Approximately 40% of the amount exceeding this amount will be received as commission pay.

Taxi drivers have to long working time, stipulated at nine hours and 45 minutes.

This is simply driving time plus rest time. In reality, I spend an additional 30 minutes on top of this for moving my car in the morning, inspecting my car, and doing roll calls. On rainy days, the car wash after business hours takes an hour. It takes 30 minutes to process payments and daily reports.

There is an item called adjustment allowance in the salary. If things continue like this, drivers like me who have a poor income will not be able to meet the minimum wage under the Labor Standards Act, so an accountant in my office are making up for it through adjustment allowances. In my case this month, I was paid 5,400 yen.

At the time of February's salary, sales income was the highest in this company for me. Approximately 490,000 yen. Therefore, since the minimum wage could be met through commission pay, instead, adjustment allowances were not paid.

And my take-home pay was 195,000 yen.

I've been working at this company for 1 year and 4 months, but my take-home pay has never exceeded 200,000 yen.

At my company, if you are absent for one day, you will be deducted approximately 7,500 yen. I'm running out of paid leave. I can't take a day off any more.

I think that I try to be more careful about my health than anyone else.

(Really? I eat fried chicken sticks for lunch every day, though...)

My senior colleague, a single mother, was only able to go to work for about half of the month last month because her child's flu spread throughout the family.

I am scared when I imagine her pay slip for last month.

By the way, the section chief at the beginning was scolded by the accounting manager for handing over a pay slip a day early.
