第8話 末尾の日の配車

私の会社では末尾の日の配車というシステムがある。

例えば、４月１日だったら、１号車、１１号車、２１号車、３１号車、４１号車に乗っている人の誰かに、１０、０００円以上の長距離のお客さんの仕事が優先的に配車されるというシステムだ。

私の車は３８号車。つまり、毎月８日、１８日に、１００００円以上の長距離の仕事が来る可能性があるという事だ。

４月８日。何気なく運転しているとオペレーターから無線が入った。

「１２時に予約されているお客様がいて、転職人生さんに担当してもらいたいんです。」

行き先は、国分寺市の、とある病院。高速に乗っていくことになる。大体１２、０００円くらいになる見積。私は急な話だったが行きますと伝えた。

私の営業している区域は、東京郊外で、滅多にお客さんを乗せて高速に乗る事などない。ましてや、一人のお客さんが１０、０００円以上払ってくれる仕事なんて、一か月に一度あるかないかだ。

道を間違えないように、車に搭載されているナビに目的地の住所を入力し、それだけだと不安だから、自分の携帯のグーグルマップでもナビを設定して二つのナビを設定して目的地に向かった。

ナビは難なく、私とお客さんを目的地まで連れて行ってくれた。

１２、０００円くらいの仕事だった。

私は思う。

ナビの無かった時代では、間違いなくタクシードライバーとしてやっていく事は出来なかっただろうと。

本当にグーグルマップにはお世話になりっぱなしだ。

初めて行く所は大抵グーグルマップを使う事にしている。

間違いなく、目的地に到着できるからだ。道に詳しい人からすれば遠回りを示す事はあるかもしれないが。

高速に乗ったら、事務所で、高速料金の精算書に必要事項を書くのだが、この紙が黄色で、目立つ。

他のドライバーから

「おお！高速乗ってどこに行ったの？」と羨ましがられる。

私は一人有頂天になっていると、ふと私の横で同じく黄色い紙にごそごそ書いている先輩ドライバーがいた。

目的地を見ると、なんと山梨県甲府市と書いてあった。

彼は私に誇らしげに自慢してきた。

「いや～。びっくりしたよ。駅から乗り込みで甲府までって言われてさ！

４０、０００円も払ってくれたよ」

上には上がいた。

Allocation of good job corresponding to last figure of dates

(うーん。この訳は難しいな～）

My company has a system for allocating a good job whose car number corresponds to the last figure of the date.

For example, on April 1st, someone in cars 1, 11, 21, 31, and 41 will be prioritized for long-distance work of 10,000 yen or more.

My car is number 38. In other words, there is a possibility that I will receive a long-distance job that can earn more than 10,000 yen on the 8th or 18th of every month.

Today is April 8th. As I was driving in a relax mood, suddenly I received a radio call from the operator.

``I have a customer who has a reservation for 12 o'clock, and I would like Tenshoku Jinsei-san to take care of it.''

The destination is a certain hospital in Kokubunji City. I will be riding at expressway. The estimate is approximately 12,000 yen. Although it was urgent, but I told her that I would go.

The area where I work is in the suburbs of Tokyo, and I rarely take passengers on express way. What's more, I only get jobs once a month where a single customer pays me more than 10,000 yen.

To avoid taking the wrong route, I entered the address of my destination into the navigation system installed in my car, but since I'm worried about doing just that, I also set up the navigation system on Google Maps on my phone. I was fully prepared setting up two navigation systems.

The navigation took me and my guests to our destination without any problem.

It was a job for about 12,000 yen.

I think there is no doubt that in an era without navigation systems, it would not have been possible to make a living as a taxi driver for me.

I always rely on Google Maps.

Whenever I go to a place for the first time, I usually use Google Maps.

Because it can definitely take me the destination with no mistakes.

For those who are familiar with the route, it may be a detour.

When I use any expressway, I go to the office and fill out the required information on the expressway toll bill, but the paper is yellow and stands out.

From other drivers,

"Oh! Where did you go on that express way?" they said with envy.

While I was alone in a state of ecstasy, I suddenly noticed a senior driver sitting next to me, also busy writing on a yellow piece of paper.

When I looked at his destination, it described "Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture."

He proudly boasted to me.

“Oh no. I was surprised. a guy told me to go to Kofu!

He paid me 40,000 yen."
