A great story with solid characters

I love the way the author builds the characters, especially our protagonists while the story still remains well paced with bouts of excitement and good fights. I love the side characters and the power scaling seems pretty balanced. I like the magic system as well as the concept that the main character is not the only one with a "cheat" or an advantage. I also enjoy the way the author has built the personality of the protagonist, where you can genuinely glimpse the obsession and the self-reflection.
