Martius is not a bad guy. He is sincere in his own way and loves Soara with all his heart. That is why he did not embrace Adelheid, whom he does not love.

アーデルハイトが言う「殺す者は殺される覚悟を、殺せと命じる者はその者が死ぬ覚悟を。命に責任を持つべき」という考え方が、下の者に忠誠を誓われる所以なのだと思います。
