I and my friend Maria went to the American breakfast restaurant.
American loves American breakfast. Even the schools sell the American breakfast for lunch. Today's restaurant is serving only American breakfast all day long.
Maria ordered eggs, a slice of ham and hash browns in one plate and one big blueberry pancake with sliced bananas.
Usually, they have pancake, waffle, buttermilk biscuit, French toast and toast. They call small size pancakes as 'hotcakes' in this restaurant. Some restaurants call them 'drop pancakes.'
Pancakes have some flavors. Plain, blueberry, walnuts and chocolates are popular ones.
We have to choose hash browns, french fries, baked potatoes or mashed potatoes.
Also, we have to choose how to cook the eggs like sunny side up, scrambled or omelet.
Then we have choice of bacons or sausages besides hams.
They call seasoned ground pork as a 'sausage'.
Usually we order sausage like 'sausage patty' or 'sausage links'. Sausage patty shapes round flat one like a hamburger. If you want to eat sausage shape one, you have to say, 'sausage links'.
And they also call hamburger patty as a hamburger. Some people call a ground beef as a hamburger.
I ordered Country- fried steak, scrambled eggs, hashed browns and banana bread.
Country -fried steak is deep flied thin slice of beef with crispy batter. The country gravy is on top of it.
The country gravy is white sauce with sausage. I saw it a lot in South. They also pour a lot of country gravy over the biscuits.
