As some of you may already know, I'm a Trekker.
I became a fan while I was attending an university in St. Louis, MO. While I was there, there were three Star Trek TV series on air; namely, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, and Voyager. After seeing some TNG episodes, I immediately became attached to the show.
The stories take place in 24th century; however, they felt so real. The episodes were so believable. Something that I hope humanity to attain in the distant future. That's the future worth living in. They've presented me with a vision that I aspire. They made me believe humanity will one day thrive in outer space even with such a turbulent history.
So, I'm now following their footsteps. I'd love to come up with stories that show the same bright vision, a vision of the future which shows all of us that we will go on strong and bold despite uncertainties and serious problems we have now.
I'll keep on finding my power within that 1990's American optimism. Something I still find admirable after all these years.
I know I lack skills to present such a vision properly; however, I'm still hopeful that one day some one in the future find this vision of mine to revive the hope we had decades ago in fields of literature or performing arts.
So I keep writing what I want to show. I hope you find my works worthwhile.
