Hero and Heroine fight against plot

Our hero is someone who was cast aside by his family and everyone else, and never had a normal school life though he tried so hard. He gained 1 friend and she died in hospital shortly followed by him. He becomes the protagonist from the story but with information of what will happen in the future he will do his best to protect those he cares for.
This protagonist doesn't take things lying down and is not afraid of getting even.
