第23話 The Place Of Mortals Reborn

"W-What should we do now ?"

Michal muttered to Orthonoxmus in a serious voice.

"Hm...I try to resurrect him with the help of the divine tree and my power."

Orthonoxmus muttered in a serious voice.

"O-Okay."

Michal said in a serious voice.

"But first we have to send these two back to Sotean's home. I don't want them to see the process. You're already familiar. So, it's not a problem while you're around."

Orthonoxmus muttered in a serious voice.

"Hum."

Michal replied in a low voice.

They both look at them.

Sereka and Hoshima both kneel in despair.

Orthonoxmus snaps his fingers and both of them returned to Sotean's home.

"W-Where Am I ?"

Sotean opens his eyes slowly and muttered to himself in a weak voice.

His wound wasn't recovered yet.

As he opens his eyes, he finds himself under the ocean. There is water everywhere. Nothing except water.

And he is falling deeper and deeper within it.

"Am I dead ?"

He muttered to himself in a weak voice.

"Huff. Maybe. I hope maybe once just for Once, I wish to see her again."

Sotean muttered to himself with a peaceful smile.

He closes his eyes in satisfaction then falls deeper and deeper.

But then suddenly, some light shines in front of him and a girl whose hair color is silver and eye color is green and snow type skin and has much longer hair, with the longest segments nearly reaching her feet and some shoulder-length face-framing layers. The ribbons in her hair are black with gold trim, and two roses — one light blue and one black — are attached to each.

She wears a black dress extending to just above the knee, with long sleeves that are cut out past the elbow. On top of this, she wears a multi-layered pleated capelet with gold trim, as well as a gray frilled collar and a black ribbon, complete with light blue rose and spade ornament. What appears to be a white blouse with lace trim running down the center covers her chest; a dark blue corset with gold clasps, ornaments, and trim, complete with a matching blue bow, separates this from the lower half of her outfit. Gold bows are attached to either side of her skirt; a black ribbon is tied at the back of her waist and ends in a pair of ring ornaments with a spade motif. Her skirt is accented with a light blue stripe and gold trim similar to that found on her hair ribbons. Beneath her skirt, she wears off-white petticoats that are longer in the back. Her tights are medium gray; on her feet, she wears a pair of short gray boots with thick soles, dark gray bows, and gold scalloped trim.

"W-Who are you ?"

Sotean asked her in his weak voice.

She whispered in his ears.

"Does it hurt ?"

She asked about his wounds.

Sotean replied in a weak voice.

"Yeah... A little."

"You're tough, aren't you ?"

She whispered again.

Her voice is sweet as honey.

"Yeah... Maybe."

Sotean muttered.

He doesn't even understand why he's answering her questions but he's just answering.

"Let me heal your wounds then."

She whispered in his ears.

Then she looks at Sotean.

Sotean can't able to diverge his ears from her astonishing beauty.

"But how you can-"

He said but before he could finish his sentences, That girl kisses Sotean on his lips while closing her eyes.

Sotean widens his eyes in surprise but then he thinks.

"Why is this feeling so familiar? This feeling..."

After the kiss, that girl looks at Sotean with a smile.

Sotean is about to ask her about her actions but suddenly he starts feeling dizzy.

"What's happening ?"

He muttered to himself.

Then suddenly became unconscious all of a sudden.

That girl hugs him and said.

"Take a good rest, my dear. I wish that I'll hug you like this... Forever."

She then smiles peacefully.

While Sotean was sleeping. He sees a dream.

He sees his childhood time. He sees Sereka in his dream playing with him when they were kids. Then he sees the time when they first enter the Place of Infinite Possibilities. And then the time when she was trying to protect him from dying but unfaithfully they separated.

Then he sees Sereka crying alone in a corner of his room.

*Sobbing* "Sotean...Why ?"

Sotean is standing behind her like a faded shadow.

"Sereka don't cry."

Sotean said then forward his hand towards her to comfort her. But his hands start fading.

"What's happening ?"

He muttered to himself panicky.

"No...I don't want to..."

He said panicky.

"NO SEREKA !!!"

He scream panicky but then suddenly Sereka went away from him and everything went dark.

He wakes up panicked while screaming.

"SEREKA !"

He then starts panting heavily.

He then realized that it was a dream.

"Oh... seems like a dream."

He said then relax a little and put his right hand on his forehead.

His wounds are recovered and then he looks around and is surprised to see the view.

"What is this ?"

He said surprisingly.

He was lying under a large tree whose branches are shining and its leaves are shining greenly. And there are shining grasses everywhere. And he's on the hill area. And the sky is dark with shining stars.

Everything is fine with that but then suddenly, he sees a yellow-colored fish pass by beside him.

"Huh !?"

He responded shockingly.

He then realized that he was underwater and this tree and the whole environment are grown under the water.

Soon, there are so many types of fish that start flying around.

Then the same girl came from behind the tree side but this time, She is holding a black parasol in her hands and is accompanied by two pigeons. The left one is black-colored and the right one is white-colored.

She smiles towards Sotean and said.

"Seems like you're recovered now."

Sotean look behind after hearing the familiar voice and then said surprisingly while pointing his fingers at that girl.

"You...? You're the girl from before, right ?"

"Yeah... Welcome to The Place of Mortals Reborn."

She said with a cheerful smile.

"The Place of... Mortals Reborn...?"

Sotean repeats confusingly.

"It seems kinda familiar to the Place of Infinite Possibilities."

Sotean thinks.

"But I was inside the deep ocean...But nowhere..?"

He asked confusingly.

"Yeah...The outer portion of this place is covered with ocean."

She said with a gentle smile.

"Oh...I see. But then why I'm here ?"

Sotean asked curiously.

"Well, it's because I saved you from dying this time."

That girl replied with a serious voice then look at the stars above while standing some distance away from Sotean.

"Save...me...? Why? And Who are you ?"

Sotean asked confusingly.

"I don't want to lose this You, that's why I saved you from dying. And I'm..."

She said in a serious voice.

Then she walks towards Sotean and said while looking at him.

"Sereka. My name. It's been a while since I saw you again. My dear Sotean."

Sereka said with an emotional smile.

"Huh !?"

Sotean became speechless and look at that girl who just called herself, Sereka with his eyes wide open in shock.
