第2話 The Place Of Infinite Possibilities

On the Next day, Sotean is lying on his bed while looking at that key and think

"What does he mean when he calls this 'The Key to Everything'. Strange, I think it's better if I show this to Sereka."

"Man! Why I'm repeating this."

He muttered to himself.

Then his doorbell rings.

"Huh?" Sotean response to himself.

"Maybe it is Sereka." He said to himself then he reaches a door and ask.

"Yes? Who is it?" He asked

"It's me, Sereka." Sereka responds with her sweet voice.

"Yeah, come in." Sotean said then open the door and he is surprised when he looked at Sereka.

Sereka is wearing a Red-colored sleeveless dress with a black lining.

Sotean eyes wide open, he is surprised to see her in that beautiful outfit.

Sereka feels a bit embarrassed, she blushes then asked Sotean nervously.

"Um...Am I looking weird in this outfit ?"

Sotean smiles then said

"Ofcourse not, but to tell the truth, you look so great in it. I love yo- I mean Your Outfit."

He is accidentally about to confess his feelings.

Well, he indeed likes her but his like still does not turn out to be love.

"W-Well, let's go to my room to do some more research."

He said nervously.

"Y-Yeah."

She replied nervously.

They both are a little embarrassed when Sotean is accidentally going to say that He loves her.

Sereka is also like Sotean both it's like not love.

They both go to his room.

Then Sotean remembered about that strange key.

He then shows this to Sereka by saying.

"Oh yeah, I wanted to show you something, here. Take a look."

He gives that key to Sereka.

( But their hands aren't touching each other)

"Huh, What is this ?"

Sereka asked Sotean while looking at that key.

"Well, it's a long story..." He said.

Then he explains what happens after school.

"I see..."

Sereka says while making a series face and she is still looking at that key.

"Wait, do you believe me, for real ?" Sotean asked surprisingly.

Sereka then look at Sotean and smiles then said.

"Ofcourse, silly. This world is full of mysteries, you know that. And if you're lying to me I will already figure it out because I know you don't good at lying. And especially to me, after all, we are best friends, right ?"

Sotean look at Sereka in surprise and said

"Thank you so much, Sereka. I know you're the only person who will trust me."

Sereka giggles then said.

"Well, but still it strange. Why did that man give you this key? And What does he mean by 'The Key to Everything'. And By the way, did you able to recognize that man. I mean how exactly he looks like ?"

Sotean closes his eyes to remember that man's look then he opens his eyes and tells Sereka.

"That man wears a black-colored strange mask only his mouth is visible. He has fair skin. He wears black clothes and he has the same hair and eye color as me. That's what I remember about his appearance."

Sereka makes a serious face and said.

"Black clothes... Black mask... and Especially same hair and eye color as you. It is really strange."

"I think maybe he was you from the future, I guess."

Sereka said while looking at Sotean.

"Me...From the future ?"

Sotean said while making a puzzled face.

"I just think that. I'm not sure either."

Sereka said.

"I don't know why that man gives me this key but looks like that key is for something really important."

Sotean said then he put his hand on the key and both Sotean's and Sereka's hand touches the key at the same time. Then suddenly that key start shining brightly. They both cover their eyes because of that light.

And when they opens, they found themselves in a place where a Large Tree is growing from water.

There is a starry sky full of stars and everything glowing brightly like the moon in the dark sky.

"I'd never see a tree grown from the water!"

Sereka said surprisingly while looking at the tree.

"And look! This water is so clear."

Sotean says with amazement.

"Yeah."

Sereka respond.

Then accidentally her legs slipped and she fell into the water.

"Look out!"

Sotean shouted.

But she fell in the water.

"SEREKA."

Sotean screams and then runs towards her.

Sereka manages to get out from the water and sit in a large root of the tree which is some distance above from water.

"Ow...It hurts."

Sereka muttered to herself.

"Are you okay? "

Sotean asked her.

"Y-Yeah."

Sereka respond.

"Does it hurt, do you get injured, tell me something?"

Sotean asked worriedly

"Don't worry, I'm fine."

She said with a smile.

Then suddenly became shocked and said to Sotean.

" S-Sotean, look there."

She said shockingly.

"Huh? Where?"

Sotean asks then he look around then he is shocked too.

He shockingly said to himself.

"W-What is this ?"

When Sereka falls into the water, it splashes some bubbles from the water but those bubbles start floating in the air.

"Looks like light weighted things float in the air here."

Sereka said with logic.

"Well, I think you're right."

Sotean said in amaze then he look at Sereka and tease her by saying.

"I once thought that you're lightly weighted too but now I realize that you're not different from others." He said then smile.

"Wha!?"

Sereka responds shockingly.

"I-Idiot, I've lightly weighted also but what I meant to say is that things which are so light just like a leaf." She said with a bit of jealousy in her voice.

"Hey look! "

Sotean said while showing a bubble.

"It's a sand clock inside of it. Woah! It's filled with blue sand."

Sotean says in amazement.

"Yeah. You're right."

Sereka said in amazing too.

"What place is This ?"

Sotean said to Sereka.

Then they hear the voice of footsteps from behind.

Sotean look back and said.

" Who's there."

In an alarming voice.

"Well, seems like you two finally made it."

A man from behind said while coming towards Sotean and Sereka.

"So you're the one who summoned us."

Sotean asks thoughtfully.

"Indeed."

That man respond.

When he comes to light, both Sotean and Sereka are shocked to see him.

They see a man wearing a sharp suit with a red tie and he has a featureless face that seems to be made of Deerhorn and Silver egg.

He comes near the tree and then looks at Sotean and Sereka and said.

"Welcome to the Place of Infinite Possibilities, Time Travellers."

They both are shocked to hear that.
