出会うこと、離れること

その繰り返しの中で生きている

あらゆるきっかけで出会い

あらゆる理由で離れる

それらが孕む意味や

もたらす全ては

いつになってもよくわからない

それらは一本の線の端と端

もしくは果てしない何かの一部を切りとる点

出会わなければ、離れられない

いつか離れるために出会う

出会いと別れは共起する

私たちに与えられるのは

それらの実現のタイムラグ

その僅かな時空の中で

何かを成して、何かを失う

この一連の事態を繰り返し

束となって、私たちの人生になる

億千万の人々が生きる世界で

その何乗もの可能性の中で

出会い、離れる

「さよなら」を言える相手は限られている

出会わずには離れられないのだから

「運命」とか「定め」とか

その事実は様々に形容される

単純な構造がいくつも絡み

読み解けやしない様相になる

小難しいことなど何もないはずなのに

曖昧で捉えきれない何かに化ける

出会い、離れる

その繰り返しは

何を意味し、何を与えるのか

わからないけれど、

それらの輪郭は

いま、確かに少しだけ

見えた気がする

To encounter and then to draw apart,

our lives are an endless repeat

With any chance, we meet

For any reason, we part

What that means,

or

What that brings,

is yet for me to understand

It's the two ends of a single line,

or Dots that separate a part from a whole

Without encounter, partings can't be realized

We discover, to drift away

Encounters and Partings co-occur,

what we are given,

is the lag in time for the both to realize

In that short amount of time and space,

We gain, we lose

Repetition of this, stuck into a batch,

is our lives

in a world with billions of people, and infinite possibilities

We meet, we separate

There's not many people you get to say "Goodbye" to,

For you cannot part without encounter

and that's what some like to call

"Destiny" or "Fate"

It's simple in structure, but jammed into a tangle,

and becomes so confusing and complicated

It's nothing difficult, but yet so hard to decipher

To encounter and to draw apart,

The repetition,

What it means or what it grants

I've not yet understood,

But the silhouette of this something,

has finally become clear to me
