The Beginning

Speaking of monsters, naturally, they emerge in the middle of the night.

Also, usually, the night often seems a little bit strange.

The night was no exemption.

Watchdogs barked, nipping cold wind glanced off the cheeks,

gatekeepers were sound asleep.

And the moon looked as if it had a smirk...

怪物の登場というのは大抵、真夜中と決まっている。

しかもそういう夜に限って、気付かないほどの小さな違和感があったりするものだ。

あの夜も、例外ではなかった。

番犬は吠え、鋭い木枯らしは頬を切り、門番たちは深い眠りに落ちた。
