What AI did you use? I've tried Midjourney and Stable diffusion. Not the Novel AI at the moment.
Midjourney is kind of costly but will be worth the money if you are going to generate 500+ pictures a months or find some commercial use for them. It now has Nijijourney which focus on Anime-like images. If you are free user, there're some free quotas every month so you don't have to pay for it, but the images generated this way are forbid to be used commercially.
Stable diffusion is quite difficult actually. You need to have a decent computer with strong graphic card because the images will be generated locally on your computer and by your computer. (yes, it work offline so you don't need the internet for this and it's completely free.) Follow tutorials on youtube on how to install it will make it 100 times easier. The different of Stable diffusion (SD) to Midjourney (MJ) and NovelAI (NAI) is that user can train their own model and share them with each other, alter or merge different model to create a new one. There're new models created everyday and many can generate batchs of stunning images. If you are going to use SD you will definitely going to search through numerous model to find the right one. (And each one is quite heavy. I lost more than 100 GB of space storing them.)
Well, whatever AI you use you will still need to work on the keywords, or prompts, to make a good image. I suggest joining discord, reddit or facebook group about AI art generation and see what keywords other people use and try them yourself and see if you can make an ideal image with them. Good luck.
