soul vow renewal

──On the day I lost everything, I met him again.

"I'll wait here."

Under the gray sky, that voice pierced his heart. Every time Ink remembered those words, he looked at the misty future before him. Banjo, a man who was once known as an anti. That name was both feared and despised by those who spoke of the past.

But it was different for Ink. To him, Banjo was someone he had once trusted, betrayed, and still wished to save.

"Are you sure you want to meet him? With him..."

Ink nodded slightly in response to Reich's question. Shichika, standing next to him, held Ink's hand without saying a word. Her quiet warmth gave him more power than words could ever give.

An abandoned square. The place where the Yatagarasu once held their meetings. At its center, Banjo stood.

"...You've come. Haven't you abandoned me yet?"

His voice was somehow broken. A sound of self-mockery, anger, and a hint of hope.

"It's not me who is abandoned, it's your despair."

Banjou frowns slightly at Ink's words.

"I was scared of your faith that day. I knew the pain of trusting someone and being betrayed."

"I know. I was betrayed by someone in the past."

The past continues to leave scars. But if those scars become proof of the strength of your faith, then there is meaning in carrying them.

At that moment, a sharp presence splits the air.

The remnants of the Stag Beetle suddenly appear - Utopia, Ankh, and Kufrin. They have come to deny Banjou's rehabilitation.

"Don't think that something broken can be reborn."

Ankh says coldly.

Ink shouts.

"There are things that can be built precisely because they are broken!"

A violent clash begins. Utopia's heavy attack, Kufrin's slash, and Ankh's words cut to the heart.

But in the midst of all this, Banjou clenched his trembling fists and stood in front of Ink to protect him.

"Stay back... I'll fight this time."

Ink saw his past self in their backs.

After a long battle, they collapsed. The remnants retreated, and only the wind blew.

Then his Yatagarasu comrades appeared - Zero, Gekko, and Mira Dante.

"You've finally come back."

When Ink held out his hand, Banjou shed tears for the first time.

"Thank you. I'll live again, too."

On the night of the bonfire, Banjou muttered softly.

"If I were to do it again..."

Ink answered.

"I believe in you."

All Banjou could do was nod at those words.

The next morning, at the Yatagarasu Round Table. Reich stands up and says.

"No one disagrees..."

No one says anything, just adds Banjo to the circle.

But Ankh smiles fearlessly in the darkness.

"Rehabilitation? That's weakness."

His eyes are on his next prey.

"I haven't forgiven you. I just believed in the light that remained inside you."

At Reich's words, Banjo put his hand over his chest once more.

"Ink. I won't waver anymore. I swear to protect this place you gave me."

"Then we're... a family now."

The light of dawn enveloped them.
