Lord of Strength

024 Lord of Strength
"This time, the Lord of Strength is often seen in manga, but does it really work?" Let's discuss the four types of training that are often thought of. First of all, one of them is waterfall training. You are hit by a cold waterfall and chant your prayers. This is waterfall training. In the opinion of ordinary people, it definitely improves mental strength, but few people know what effect it has as martial arts training. However, this is certainly effective as martial arts training. This may confuse you, but let me say that it is a story that you will understand if you read it a little. In the first place, what you feel in waterfall training is just the coldness and the chanting of the prayer with a trembling body. The presence or absence of the prayer is a danger of losing consciousness, so it doesn't matter what you chant. It can be anime, games, idols, songs, anything. The important thing is the coldness of the waterfall water that you feel. Why is something that seems to only give you the pain of cold so important? First of all, waterfall training The pain of cold is the purpose. In a fight, you have to fight even if you get hurt. The important thing is to have resistance to pain. The time you can fight and the strength you can use will change greatly depending on whether you have it or not. Therefore, resistance to pain is essential in a fight. Some of you may have guessed by now that waterfall training is a great way to acquire pain resistance. First of all, the cold pain continues, but the feeling of the water falling from the waterfall is not the same, and the pain seems monotonous but is full of variety. Also, it allows you to train to safely gain resistance to pain for a long period of time without hurting your body. It is understandable that a minor injury would be better than that long waterfall training. 2. Log carrying. Lift and carry several logs tied to each other and walk a certain distance. When you hear that, modern people may think that it would be fine to just lift weights on a normal training machine, but frankly speaking, training is not a good idea. A training machine cannot be used for martial arts.
Why is training that ignores efficiency, such as lifting and carrying a log tied to several pieces and walking a certain distance more effective?
It has to do with the things used for training and the road.
First,
Lift and carry a log tied to several pieces and then walk.
To do this, you need to lift the log near the center, otherwise it will not be stable and a single stone on the road could cause you to lose your balance, so you need to maintain a delicate balance and force.
This is impossible with a training machine.
Carrying a log while walking allows you to acquire a core and sense of balance that allows you to exert strong strength while maintaining your balance flexibly.
Acquiring a core and sense of balance that allows you to exert strong strength while maintaining your balance flexibly can even make it possible to fight with a stable core.
Third,
Rolling a large rock.
Training to push and roll a large round rock a certain distance.
When you hear that, you may think that a normal, beautiful iron ball would be fine. It may be, but it's not a pretty ball, so it has meaning.
First of all, to push and roll a big rock, you have to release your whole body's strength and maintain it without interruption.
Moreover, since it's not a pretty ball, the force you use will change depending on the pebbles, rocks, and slope of the ground.
You have to adapt to such changes without weakening your pushing force. If you can't do this, you won't be able to move it properly.
What you gain as a result is the ability to adapt your strength while maintaining your full strength in the midst of a battle.
Fighting doesn't always mean fighting at full strength. For example, if a full-power attack is dodged, continuing to attack as is can be suicidal.
If you miss, you can immediately respond by attacking with full strength and switching to a flexible position. This is the power that can be acquired through this training.
Fourth: Cutting a big rock with a sword.
This is sometimes the final training in swordsmanship works that proves that you have mastered the art.
So, is that actually possible? In conclusion, it is theoretically possible. There is a famous story about Miyamoto Musashi swinging his sword down once and splitting a rock. So how did he achieve such a miracle? Of course, if you try to train like that, the blade of the sword will chip and its sharpness will gradually decrease. In that case, splitting a large rock with one swing of the sword is necessary. What is needed is consistency without loss of force. The sword must be swung down so that there is no loss of force, the sword must be at a vertical angle, the force must be applied straight, and the angle of the rock it hits must be at is the same. When these three conditions are met, then theoretically it is possible to split a large rock with a sword. Of course, if you try it in reality, it will be neatly cut in half. It probably won't work, but it should be possible.
Obviously, this is theoretical, so it's not realistic.
But if it cuts through with a little effort, it's no exaggeration to say that you've gained considerable power.
And the power gained from this training is a high-powered slash that doesn't lose much power to the opponent.
Now, I think you understand that the training in manga and creative writing is quite logical.
Of course, there are many trainings that are flawed in logic, but at least no one would look down on these four.
He closed the documents spread out on the podium.
"This is the end for today."
