Midnight Nightmare

I’m jumping up and down with glee

I didn’t know

what they did with thee

for t’was midnight

I shivered with fright

to left and right

all up to my height

claws to slash

paws to bash

eyes to scare

but I won’t dare

down the aisle

t’was a long while

finally struck one

and was proven wrong

I never won

and was not ever wrong

found out a truth

a horror to the ear

never was soothed

a mirror of the year

a file of lies

you lay your eyes

on a nightmare.
