Seht, die Sonne!

WannaLive

Prelude

It was started in 2021.

Our story began at Sicily, a romantic island which lay on the center of the Mediterranean Ocean.

What a day! It was the time that the Sun gave away its power and heat to the world. Without no reservation, the Sun showed her beauty, making the taste of the island much more appealing.

Watching around the sea, several boats were dancing to the wave, the breath of the Earth.

A young fishman, driving his boat, left the dock. It was reported that there would be a huge, manificent eclipse to happen above the Earth. At that time, the dark and colossal shadow of the Moon would slowly travel across the sea. Nothing was more important to capture the sight that an eclipse happened through the sky in person. He would record it in the most original method - with films.

"Seht, die Sonne!" he wowed in German. He turned on his camera, using the films to record the two-hour-long witness. A pair of sunglasses, sincerily protecting the eyes of the man from the heat of the sun, was eagerly waiting for the eclipse to come. Alas! How great our planets were! And how manificent the nature was!

The fishman looked down to his watch. It still had a few seconds. He fell down to his knees, probably doing that just due to nothing.

Suddenly the sky turned darker and darker. The sea, which used to be patient and peaceful, was now raging. He tried his best to keep the balance of the boat. A large, black circle covered slowly from one side to the other side of the Sun. That is the Moon.

His eyes were filled with fear, which was because the sight frightened him so much. It looked like the entire world coming to an end. He prayed and confessed. The sound of the bells, flew into his ears from the churches on the land. Only the camera could admire peacefully the whole progress that the Moon ate the Sun.

It was just like a dream, an unreal dream. Processing the films, the sight of the eclipse flashed in his mind.

Right on the film, the circle of the Moon, was surrounded by long and twist blue lines. It was weird and full of horror. Surprisingly, the fishman didn't notice it at all. The eyes of human could not see the lines but the machines could. It was a sign that the Moon began to shine its energy to the earth.

After the eclipse, the humans would step into endless abyss.

Hi there. This is WannaLive.

This story is adapted from my another novel the Breath of the Silver Moon. I have thought for it for over seven months. Now I treat this novel as a way to improve my writing skills in English.

There might be some mistakes in the paragraghes so don't mind of it.
