第22話 We went to buy the milk.（ミルクを買いに）

I and my son went to buy the milk today.

（今日は息子とミルクを買いに行きました）

You may think; "So what!? Isn't it so special?"

（何がそんなに特別なの？　って思いません？）

The answer is "Yes."

（特別なんです！）

Why?

（なんで？）

It is because we buy the milk from the farmer.

（農家さんから買うからです）

And the farmer lady is coming to our town only Saturday morning.

（農家の人は土曜の朝にしかこの街に来ません）

Usually, buying the milk is my husband's job. But he got sick today. Now I had to go.

（ふだんは、ミルクを買うのはダンナの仕事です。でも今日はダンナが病気なので、私が行かなければいけません）

（なんでわざわざ彼女から買うの？　って思いません？）

In the States, usually the vitamin D is added in milk, and it contains a lot of hormones from cow, if you buy them in the grocery store. It tastes like chemicals.

To buy their milk, we have to make reservations and are required to resister our name and address. It is a State law for health reasons.

（そのミルクを買うためには予約して、名前と住所を登録しないといけないんです。衛生上の州の法律です）

Usually, my son is not coming for shopping. But why he comes only for today?

（ふだん、息子は買い物にはつきあいません。でもなんで今日だけはついてくるのか）

He knows if I go shopping alone, I buy something yummy. It never happens if he goes with my husband.

（ヤツは私が一人で買い物に行くと、おいしいものを買うのを知っているのです。ダンナと行ったら絶対ありえないこと）

My son never misses this opportunity.

（うちの息子は絶対にそんな好機を逃しません）

On the way home, we stopped by the mom and pop - pie shop.

（帰りに、家族経営のパイ屋さんに寄りました）

He picked a piece of ham and cheese pie and chocolate pie.

（彼はハムとチーズのパイを頼みました）

I picked a piece of veggie pie.

（私は野菜のパイを選びました）

They were so delicious!!

（ちょーうまかった！！）
