It's not such a bad deal, but I'm immensely turned off by the idea that he would become her "property" as a consequence of these events. No matter how good the benefits, no matter how pretty she is, no matter her feelings for him, a man's dignity is priceless. Only if it was to literally save his life would I feel comfortable with him accepting this deal.

To be precise, I don't have a problem with him living with her or anything, my problem is solely with the fact that if he were to accept the idea that he has become her property, it would no longer be a simple exchange of money for services, it would be him selling his dignity and life, his human rights and the right to refuse should she ever demand something of him that he genuinely finds unacceptable.

So, I hope that he won't accept the deal as it is, that he will demand she take back the words claiming him as her "property" or a "pet." She would be buying his services, not his self.

Besides, last I heard, slavery was illegal in Japan...
