第3話 本論Ⅱ

１つ目は、身障者についての問題です。

First, It is a problem about the physically handicapped person.

日本ではバリアフリー化に積極的に取り組んでいます。

In Japan, we are actively engaged in making barrier-free.

学校でも、身障者の方の講演や一緒に活動するイベントが行われています。

At the school, the lecture of the physically handicapped person and the event to work together are held.

これらは、問題の改善につながっているような気がします。

We feel like these are leading to better problems.

しかし、身障者の方にとっては違うようです。

But, it seems to be different for the physically handicapped person.

私はバンドで活動しています。

I am a band activist.

バンドのメンバーの中に、耳に障害のある男の子がいます。

Among the band members, there is a boy with a deaf ear.

耳の障害、といっても様々です。

It is various though it is said the trouble of the ear.

幼いころから聞こえない人、ある時から聞こえなくなった人、全く聞こえない人、聞こえにくい人…。

People who do not hear from a young age, people who have not heard from time, people who do not hear at all, hard to hear...

彼は、幼いころから聴覚過敏という症状を持っていました。

He had symptoms of hearing sensitivity from an early age.

それは、音の選択ができないというものです。

It is the one that the selection of the sound cannot be.

大きな音や多くの雑音が混ざるのが苦手であること以外は、生活への支障はほとんどないそうです。

There is little obstacle to life except that it is not good at mixing loud noises and a lot of noise.

しかし、彼の生活の中で関わる人には症状について理解できていない人が多いのです。

But, many people who are involved in his life are not able to understand the symptoms.

必要以上に声を上げて話す人がいます。

There are people who speak louder than necessary.

人の多い場所に連れて行こうとする人もいます。

Some people try to take you to a lot of places.

彼にとってそれは嫌なことであり、危険を伴うことでもあります。

It is disagreeable thing, and it is dangerous for him.

彼はたびたびこう言います。

He often says,

「耳の障害は聞こえないことがすべてじゃないが、人は聞く耳を持たない。」

"It's not all about hearing impairment, but people don't listen."

この言葉には、前向きにできることとできないことを知っていてほしいという願いがこもっていると私は思います。

I think this word has a desire to know what we can and cannot do positively.

そして、これは身障者の方のほとんどが願っているでしょう。

And this is what most of the handicapped are hoping for.
