幼馴染（Osananajimi-Childhood friend）

Episode 6: Date

　As we left the accessory boutique, we were lucky enough to see a sign for a pasta shop, so we went a little further down the street.

"This place looks nice, why don't we go here?

"Isn't it expensive?

"Don't worry. Don't mind the money.

　Today, Kyoko seemed to be in one's older sister mode and was strangely kind.

　When we entered the small restaurant, there were only a few customers, probably because it was still in the morning.

　We sat down and looked at the menu, which was quite expensive.

　When the waiter arrived, I took the easy way out and ordered spaghetti with meat sauce, while Kyoko ordered a dish called lasagna.

"Yusuke, is spaghetti enough for you?

"Probably not.

"Why don't you order a large one?

"Yes, I should.

　Excuse me, I'd like to order a large portion of spaghetti.

　I was able to change my order to a large serving without any problem.

　While we were waiting for the food to be served.

"Hey, Yusuke, we're on a date now, aren't we?

"From a third person's point of view, it might look that way.

"Why are you talking nonsense?

"No, because we've always gone out together, right?

"Today is special.

"If that's what you think, that's what you think.

"What? Yusuke, are you not conscious of me?

"Hmm?　I don't know what you're trying to say, but I'm always conscious of you.

"No, not like that. Like, as a girl.

"Yes, I am aware of you. Kyoko is a woman, that's for sure.

"Oh, God.

　We were both talking, not knowing what Kyoko was trying to say, when the food arrived.

　I had a large portion of spaghetti on my plate, but Kyoko's lasagna was in a much smaller bowl.

"Kyoko, is that enough for you?

"I don't have a big appetite, so this is enough for me.

"Is that so?　You used to eat a lot more than that.

"Ladies are small eaters.

"Well, that's all right.

　I ordered a large plate of spaghetti with meat sauce, which was a safe dish, and I was satisfied with the amount and the taste, but Kyoko left her lasagna without eating half of it.

"Are you okay?

"I'm fine. Don't worry about it.

　Even so, it bothered me that Kyoko was such a small eater.

　Coffee was included after the meal, so I took it, while Kyoko declined the coffee and ordered water.

　We left the pasta shop.

"Yusuke, now that we've eaten, should we go home?

　I thought Kyoko's face looked a little pale.

"You look a little pale, are you okay?

"I'm fine. I'm fine, but I think I'm getting a little tired, so let's go home.

"Okay.

　At the restaurant, Kyoko paid for my bill as well. I wondered what had become of Kyoko.

"Are you sure you want to do this?

"I'm sure.

　After leaving the restaurant, I crossed the street at a nearby crosswalk and walked to the bus stop to catch the bus home.

　There was only one empty seat on the bus, but Kyoko was so tired that she quickly sat down in it. I don't think Kyoko would have taken a seat so quickly in the past.

　I began to have a bad feeling about this.
