第5話 Glimpse of Marriage

The next day, Sotean meets Sereka on his way to school.

"Hey! Sotean, Good Morning."

Sereka greets him.

"Oh hey! Morning. What's up!"

Sotean greets her.

"So, what do you think about today's mission?

I think maybe this time we have to defeat the time hunter of 'D ranked virtual timeline'. Right ?"

Sereka asked him.

"Yeah. I think so."

Sotean replied.

After that, they both walk to school.

On lunch break,

"Sotean, let's go to the rooftop."

Sereka said.

"Huh? For what ?"

Sotean asked.

"To eat lunch or what, silly."

Sereka said then giggles.

"Oh. Yeah, let's go."

Sotean said.

Then they both went to the rooftop.

"Woah... What a nice breeze !"

Sotean said while relaxing a little.

"Yeah. You're right."

Sereka said then she look at the clear sky and closes her eyes to feel the breeze.

"Let's go and eat some lunch now."

Sotean said.

"Huh? Y-Yeah."

Sereka suddenly opens her eyes, it looks like maybe she forget that they were here to eat some lunch.

Then they walk towards the bench which is on the rooftop when they reach, they sit there.

After eating some lunch, they both look at the sky.

There were few clouds in the sky but still, it look beautiful.

"Sky is looking really beautiful today, right ?"

Sereka said to Sotean with a smile while looking at the sky.

"Yeah..."

Sotean said with a smile while looking at the sky.

Sereka looks at Sotean and thinks.

"I don't know why I feel so comfortable when I'm with Sotean. But still, I love that to be with him. I don't know is it love or what. But I love that feeling."

Sotean while looking at the sky said to Sereka.

"Me too."

Sereka look amazed and said.

"Huh!?"

Sotean said.

"I love this also."

Sereka's eyes widen then she asked him.

"W-What ?"

Sotean said.

"I love this view. The sky is looking wonderful."

Sereka looks at him in complete disappointment.

Then says.

"Hm. Right."

She thinks then.

"I think I was never able to know how he feel about me."

Sotean look down at the ground and said to Sereka in embarrassment.

"Y-You know. I-I have to say something to you."

Sereka look at him in surprise at asked.

"W-What?"

Sotean face become red of a sudden because of embarrassment then he said.

"W-Well, you know. I-I think that I ki-kinda l-like y-you."

Sereka look in surprise then said.

"I-I feel the s-same, I guess."

"W-Well then, let's do our best to protect the world."

Sotean said in embarrassment.

Then suddenly, the bell rings. Sotean stood up then runs towards the class by saying.

"Let's go to class now."

He runs away because of embarrassment.

Sereka looks at him in a bit surprising.

And muttered to herself.

"Is this his confession ?"

Then smiles and said to herself.

"Well, that's the Sotean I like after all."

Then she went back to the class.

After School, they went to Sotean's home.

They both don't look at each other because of embarrassment.

But somehow they managed to get to The Place of Infinite Possibilities.

Their clothes change and they arrive.

"Welcome Back, Time Travellers."

Orthonoxmus greets.

"Y-Yeah."

Sotean greets.

Sereka said nothing. But her face is little red.

They both can't contact their eyes.

"Huh? What's the matter, you two ?"

Orthonoxmus asked in a bit of confusement.

"I-I-It's nothing."

Sotean said in embarrassment.

"Y-Y-Yeah. Nothing at all."

Sereka said in embarrassment.

Orthonoxmus sigh then said.

*sigh* "Well, Teenage is something."

"Well, Orthonoxmus we have to go to the 'D ranked virtual timeline'. Right ?"

Sotean asked Orthonoxmus.

"No. Not now."

Orthonoxmus said.

"Huh? Wait, What do you mean? "

Sereka asked in confusement.

Orthonoxmus said.

"I mean to say that, today is your training day."

Sotean looks puzzled. Then he asked.

"Training...day...but why ?"

Sereka looks at Orthonoxmus for his response.

Orthonoxmus explains.

"Well, it's because 'E ranked virtual timeline' is far weaker as compared to 'D ranked virtual timeline'.

That's why you both can able to defeat the time hunter of 'E ranked virtual timeline' so easily but the time hunter of ' D ranked virtual timeline' is so strong. In your current strength, you two can't able to defeat him. That's why you two have to train yourselves first. I hope you two understand what I'm trying to say. Right ?"

Sotean's expression suddenly becomes serious.

Then he said with a smile.

"Yeah, I understand."

Sereka asked Orthonoxmus.

"But were we supposed to train ourselves?"

"Well then, let me take you to your training place."

Orthonoxmus said. Then he snaps his fingers and a door suddenly appeared in front of them.

"Follow me."

Orthonoxmus said then he opens the door.

Sotean and Sereka follow him.

Suddenly a bright light appears. They both cover their eyes because of that.

When they open, they are both amazed to see a place that looks just like the grassland. Full of grass and clear sky.

"Woah...where are we ?"

Sotean asked in amazement.

"Is this our training place ?"

Sereka asked Orthonoxmus in surprise.

"Indeed. This is the training place where the other Time Travellers usually train themselves."

Orthonoxmus said.

"O-Okay."

Sereka said.

"But how are we supposed to train ourselves ?"

Sotean asked Orthonoxmus.

Before Orthonoxmus say something, Two familiar figure appear in front of them.

Sotean and Sereka were shocked to see that.

"They just look like...."

Sotean said in amazement.

"...us."

Sereka said in surprise.

"Yes, Ofcourse. They are the shadow of your true selves. So, it's common for them to look exactly like you two."

Orthonoxmus said.

Sotean said in amazement.

"S-Shadow..."

"...of our true selves."

Sereka said in amazement.

"Yes. In simple terms, they are the copies of you that will train you. And it is called the shadow of your true selves because the potential which is locked inside you, can be able to use by them. They can able to use 100 percent of their power to train you better. So, be prepared for it."

Orthonoxmus explains.

Then he step towards the door and before leaving them he said.

"Train better, Okay?"

"Yes."

Sotean said.

"Yeah, we know that."

Sereka said.

After that Orthonoxmus leave them and went back.

"Alright then, let's give it our best shot."

Sotean said to Sereka.

Seems like his embarrassment is gone.

"Uh-Yeah. Let's go."

Sereka said.

She's still a bit embarrassed.

Sotean closes his eyes while standing with his right hand.

His Red Sword has appeared in his hand.

Sereka closes her eyes too while standing with her right hand.

Her Blue Katana has appeared in her hand.

Then they both open their eyes and run towards their shadows.

Sotean attacks his shadow with his sword but his shadow blocks his sword by his hand.

"What!?"

Sotean said in shock.

Then suddenly his shadow makes a fist in his right hand and the same sword appears in his hand also.

Then he surprisingly attacks Sotean and Sotean can't able to dodge that. But he protects himself by shielding himself with his sword. He falls some distance away from his shadow.

On the other side, Sereka attack her shadow and her shadow block her attack by a sudden appearance of a Katana in her hand.

Then her shadow attacks her at Sereka's stomach.

Sereka manages to defend it with her Katana but because of force, she falls some distance away from her shadow.

They both (Sotean and Sereka) are landing at the same place just a bit away.

They try to get up. Then they mutter to each other.

"What we can do? Our shadows are really powerful."

Sereka muttered to Sotean.

"I think we have to focus our potential in our weapons just like we did to the time hunter of 'E ranked virtual timeline'."

Sotean muttered to Sereka.

"But that was just a fluke."

Sereka muttered to Sotean.

"If so. Then this time just converts it into a new attack."

Sotean muttered to Sereka.

"If you say so then I try to do it."

Sereka said then she smiles.

They both look at their Shadows.

Their Shadows by seeing them get themselves ready to attack the next blow.

Sotean's Shadow runs towards him.

Sereka's Shadow runs towards her.

Sotean closes his eyes focus his all energy on his sword. Sereka does the Same.

When Sotean's Shadow is just a bit away from him. Sotean opens his eyes and scream by swinging his sword.

"******DRAGON BLADE****** "

His shadow has been cut in half and disappeared.

On the other side, Sereka opens her eyes and scream by swinging her Katana.

"****BLADE OF JUSTICE ****"

Her shadow has been cut in half and disappeared.

They both sit down on the ground while panting heavily.

"W-We...Did...it... Right?"

Sereka asked Sotean while panting.

"Y-Yeah...I...think...so."

Sotean said to Sereka while panting.

The door opens and Orthonoxmus came out.

"Well done, you two."

Orthonoxmus said.

"Th-Thank you."

Sotean said to Orthonoxmus.

"W-We did...it."

Sereka said to Orthonoxmus.

"My, My. You two look so tired. Let's call it a day, you two have to do some more training tomorrow and after that, get prepared for the time hunter of 'D ranked virtual timeline'."

Orthonoxmus said.

"Y-Yeah"

Sotean said while panting.

"O-Okay"

Sereka said while panting.

After that, Orthonoxmus snaps his fingers then both Sotean and Sereka return to Sotean's home.

"Well, I think...I have to....go home now."

Sereka said to Sotean while panting

"I don't think that... you can...go home... like this."

Sotean said while panting.

"It's... alright."

Sereka said while panting.

"No, it's not. You have to take some rest."

Sotean said.

He is not panting now.

"But... I'm fine... some bit. I think."

Sereka said.

She stops panting.

"Wait here, I will bring some snacks. I think you might be some bit hungry, right?"

Sotean said with a smile.

"Well, yeah. But..."

She hesitates.

"It's alright...I'll be back soon."

Sotean said.

Then he went downstairs to bring some snacks.

Sereka thinks while closing her eyes while smiling.

"Sotean is nice to me as always. I think maybe someday I can be able to tell him about how I feel about him. I think I have to accept that...that...I...I..."

Sotean comes back with some snacks when he is about to enter the room.

Sereka said out.

"...I love Sotean."

Sotean look shocked by hearing what she said. He didn't open the door.

He looks embarrassed, his face is red. He muttered to himself.

"S-Sereka...Loves...me ?"

"Oh god! I said it loud."

Sereka said worriedly.

"But he's not here. So, it's all right."

She muttered to herself.

After some minutes.

Sotean gathers some courage and opens the door.

Sereka looks at Sotean.

Sotean smiles.

"I think he didn't hear anything. Thank God."

Sereka Think.

"Well, here are some snacks."

Sotean said with a smile.

"Oh! Thanks."

Sereka said while smiling.

She eats some snacks. Sotean looks at her and when she looked at him, he diverges his eye somewhere else.

Sereka looks confused over this reaction.

After eating some snacks Sereka said with a smile.

"Well, I think now I feel some better. Thank you for this. So, then I will go now, okay?"

"Huh! Oh yeah. Okay."

Sotean said nervously.

Then she went her way to her home.

Sotean lies down on his bed.

Then he muttered to himself.

"Man! She loves me...But how do I feel about her? I have to think about this too."

He relaxes a little.

"Well, I think now I can able to sleep some bit."

He closes his eyes then he realized his nightmares then he get up and muttered to himself.

"No way, if I sleep I will get a new terrifying glimpse again. But what should I do ?"

He then looks around and finds an album of his childhood with Sereka.

He start watching the photos and muttered to himself.

"I think that I also love her. But I'm not sure yet. I have to know that first. Did I love her or not ?"

He watches some photos but hopelessly because of tiredness, he falls asleep.

He gets a new glimpse but this Time...

He sees his marriage with Sereka in his dream.

He smiles while sleeping and muttered to himself in a dream.

"Oh, Sereka! I Love You So Much."
